This call invites applications to establish an Innovation and Knowledge Centre (IKC) focused on driving adoption of CHERI (Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions) digital security by design technology. Applicants must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for EPSRC funding. The application deadline is 17 September 2026.

This call is not a fit for Acme Corporation. The funding is explicitly restricted to UK research organisations eligible for EPSRC funding, while Acme is a company targeting European and international regions. Although CHERI relates to semiconductor security and digital innovation—topics aligned with Acme's AI and cybersecurity interests—the eligibility requirement for academic/research institutions in the UK disqualifies a commercial semiconductor company.
